A corps member has gone viral after a photo of him pounding yam emerged online. The young man can be seen using his NYSC khaki to rap the Nigerian delicacy For a mandatory program that requires every Nigerian graduate to be a part of, it's memory should be carefully preserved. However, NYSC is just another hurdle for young graduates in the country, especially after an unidentified young corps member who was seen abusing the uniform. In a photo which is now making waves online, the young man can be seen using the NYSC khaki uniform to wrap pounded yam, apparently, to keep it warm. Reports claim the blatant abuse of the uniform was done in Jos, Plateau state.
The photo has caused an uproar because most Nigerians are of the opinion that the program should be respected as well as the uniform but many others believe it to be good riddance as the quality is worthless and life after NYSC is basically survival of the fittest. This doesn't take away the joy many social media users felt when one of their favourite musicians, David, stepped into camp to register for the program. In fact, he was given the ultimate royalty treatment and had the opportunity to address his fellow corp members. Meanwhile, just recently, corp members cried out for help after four snakes were killed in Kogi state camp.
