A 16-year-old African boy from East Africa has built a skyscraper using bamboo and cartons. If an American kid did what this young African did, he will be celebrated to high heavens.
Africa really rocks and we are full of talent but always see it go waste. We also need to celebrate this 16-year-old African boy who stunned all by constructing an 11-storey building using bamboo sticks and cartons, complete with rooms, balconies and staircases. For some, this may be nothing worth talking about but this boy is surely meant for great things if only he gets encouragement, the right training and support. My worry is who is watching?, why has nothing been done to these talents?. These are talents that need to be tapped, nurtured and if it is well developed will grow to become one of the best architects the world will ever see.
