Rema makes history as he gets inducted into Guinness World Book of Records

Award-winning Afrobeats singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has made Nigerians proud as he gets inducted into the Guinness World Book of Records. The 23-year-old music star achieved the feat with his global hit song ‘Calm Down’ which made history as the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s first regional streaming chart). Recall that Kemi Filani reported weeks back that Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ had hit 1 billion streams on Spotify. The hit song which continues to pave way for Rema has gotten him recognition in Guinness World Book of Records. The Benin-born singer has been recognized for achieving the historic feat in a statement on its website recently. According to the statement, Rema was being recognized for securing the first number 1 hit on the world’s first regional streaming chart and first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) He now joins Femi Kuti and Wizkid as Nigerian musicians with World Guinness records.
