Afrikania Mission, the neo-traditional movement that champions Africanism



Afrikania mission believes the development discourse of the African continent is dependent on its own people. And this can be realized through a movement that preaches traditional religion and culture as a spiritual basis. This neo-traditional movement was formed in Ghana in 1982 by Vincent Kwabena Damuah, a Catholic priest who resigned from the church and became known as Osofo Okomfo, meaning a traditional priest.

Malone Mukwende, a second-year student at St George’s, University of London, wrote Mind the Gap to help other medics spot symptoms of diseases on black and minority ethnic (BAME) people.

World’s rarest gorillas with babies spotted in Nigeria

Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) has captured new images of the world’s rarest gorillas with several babies in southern Nigeria. The rare sight of the Cross River gorillas was spotted in the Mbe Mountains in Cross River State. The WCS announced Wednesday that it “has released the first-known camera trap images of a group of Cross River gorillas with a number of infants of different ages.

Eton College has apologized to the first black student to complete his studies there, Dillibe Onyeama, after he was subjected to years of racial abuse from his fellow students and then banned from visiting the school when he wrote a book detailing his abuse. Nigerian-born Dillibe Onyeama was ridiculed by students because of his race during his stay in the school.
