A Georgia teacher helped save his student’s life by donating his kidney after he was inspired by his own son’s experience with kidney failure. Kaden Koebcke was 2 years old when he was diagnosed with kidney disease.

Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has died aged 80 after battling a short illness. Mr Annan, who won the Nobel Peace Prize for humanitarian work, died in hospital in Bern, Switzerland this morning with his wife and three children by his side.
