Boy, 15, stopped by police driving his four-year-old sister to school and his dad was in the back seat.


A 15-year-old boy was pulled over the police as drove his four-year-old sister to school in a car on false plates. Staffordshire Police discovered the boy driving the Ford Focus with his dad and sister in the vehicle and none of them were wearing seatbelts. Now the youngster who cannot be named has been reported for driving without a licence and insurance. His dad has been reported for allowing his son to drive with no licence and insurance.
Officers pulled over the vehicle during a road safety operation around Mill Hill Academy, in Mill Hill, this morning, the Stoke Sentinel reports. A police spokesman said: "This was part of a national campaign targeting drivers not using seatbelts."It particularly focused on children who were not correctly restrained when they were being taken to Mill Hill Academy."During this operation a Ford Focus was stopped as officers could see none of the occupants - the driver, a young girl and a man - were wearing seatbelts."It was established that the driver was only 15 years old, the adult was his father and the young girl his sister. The car was also using false plates."The father has been reported for allowing the 15-year-old to drive with no licence and no insurance. The 15-year-old was reported for driving with no licence and no insurance."Police regularly conduct safety operations around the school. In two operations last year, they caught more than 40 people who were not strapped in. Michaela Moore, Head of School, at Mill Hill Primary Academy, said: “We have a close working relationship with the local PCSO team and they often come in to present road safety workshops to our key stage one and two pupils.“We welcome the action the police have taken today as the safety of our pupils is of the utmost importance.”
