Two farmers have become internet sensations after performing the 'Kiki Challenge' in a mud-soaked rice field in southern India. A heartwarming 40-second clip of the men splashing around to a hip-hop song while pushing oxen across filthy farmland has amassed millions of views.
The pair strut along the dirt shaking their hips before throwing down the reins and bursting into an exuberant dance alongside the moving animals.
Their fame reached new heights this weekend when Trevor Noah, The Daily Show host on Comedy Central, reposed the video declaring them the winners of the challenge. The Kiki Challenge started last month with the release of Canadian rapper Drake's new album Scorpion. A comedian named Shiggy uploaded a video of himself doing an exaggerated dance to the song In My Feelings, which features the lyrics 'Keke do you love me? Are you riding?'.The video caught the attention of millions including Will Smith and Hugh Jackman who also filmed themselves doing the dance.
Copycats who wanted to up the ante then began hopping out of moving cars and doing the dance alongside their driverless vehicles. Police criticised the 'foolish' and 'dangerous' Kiki Challenge after a 10-year-old girl filmed herself dancing alongside a moving car. The blonde youngster was filmed jumping out of the car and dancing in a residential road in Lancashire while the doors of the vehicle remained open.
one pilot tried to go one step further by seemingly jumping out of passenger plane moving along the tarmac. Viewers were left puzzled after a video emerged of pilot Alejandra Manriquez and her flight attendant take a break from flight duties to perform the dance. But Ms Manriqueza posted a video on her Instagram that explaining that the aircraft was being towed.
