LOVE was in the air, quite literally, for a true romantic who took to the skies to pen a tell-all romance confession to her beloved. The old adage ‘love is in the air’ couldn’t have held more truth for a love-struck female traveler who dished the dirt on feeling more than friendship for her best pal. The American, named Amanda, troubled by her conflicting feelings of mate loyalty and the prospect of something much more, seemed unable to hold in her thoughts any longer during an internal flight. While thousands of meters above ground level, she grabbed the nearest things she could find in order to make her confession. This happened to be a blue pen and a thick paper sick bag, stuffed down the back of a chair. The item is often found onboard routine airline journeys, along with in-flight safety cards and the onboard services menu. Amanda admitted her “crazy” antics in the emotive letter, which saw her plan to visit her BFF during his airline layover in Washington DC and let slip her true feelings. The plans were later found by a member of the cabin crew and posted online. Clearly touched by her discovery, the air hostess accompanied screenshots of the letter with the words: “Found this in the back pocket of a seat on an aircraft I was cleaning last year. Members of the viral website Reddit, where the love letter made its latest appearance, we're treated to Amanda’s full range of emotions. Unfortunately, it is not known whether she did tell all to her close pal and whether her deep feelings were reciprocated. In the neatly-written paragraphs, Amanda confessed of her plane journey: “I bought the ticket last night at 4am because I have a huge crush on my best friend.“He is flying from Boston to New Orleans and has a layover in DC.“I actually live in DC and was gonna go up soon anyway so I thought why not, I’ll surprise him at the airport during his layover.”Andrea continued in her blunt phrasing and told of her intentions, as she wrote: “I’m gonna tell him I have a crush on him. Bold move, right?“I’m going to Australia for a semester abroad in four days and I won’t see him for five months so it’s really the last chance I have.“I don’t really know what I’m gonna say but I’m just gonna wing it.“Why not. I mean I’m leaving so who cares. I dunno man.”The creative passenger rounded off her emotional outburst with a message to her fellow passengers, or whoever next came across the message. She put: “Anyway, hope this has made your flight a little less boring. Do me a favor and do something crazy today like I am.“Good luck whoever you are.”
