A mother who was caught in a huge traffic jam decided to relieve her boredom and that of her teenage children by getting out of her car altogether in order to dance to the Backstreet Boys in the middle of the road. Wendy Chupp Gossett of Colorado was trapped in her car with her two kids for more than more four hours and decided she needed to stretch her legs in the most extraordinary way. Instead of just staying behind the wheel and sticking it out, she decided to bust some moves of her own and turned up the Backstreet Boys hit song Everybody, while she prancing around on the icy highway while traffic was at a standstill.

Wendy could be seen breaking out her best moves in the hope of amusing her frustrated son as he sat in the front seat looking angry and embarrassed.'We had been sitting for four-and-a-half hours in what looked like a zombie apocalypse on I-25 between Denver and Colorado Springs,' Gossett told CBS 4. 'Worst backup in I-25 history!' As the snow continued to fall with no obvious end in sight, she climbed out of her car and turned on the Backstreet Boys' number one song. Wendy laughed and smiled as she bopped, moved and grooved while the music played.

'Come on! Get out of the car!' Wendy said as she tried to encourage her son to join but he was having none of it. Feeling 'totally stressed' and 'hungry' from the tiring jam, Nathan put his hands over his ears in an attempt to block out the sounds. 'Wow it's so loud,' he says in the short clip which was filmed by Wendy's daughter. The traffic eventually started to move and the three of them were able to continue their journey.

But Wendy's wild routine has now racked up 50,000 views with even Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter commenting online.'OMG!! Get back in your car lol. Ps. Nice jam,' he wrote on Twitter. Wendy says that silly stunt has given her street cred among her teenage kid's friends. 'The best part of this whole experience has been that my daughter, who is quite the private and 'cool' girl, now thinks I am cool and all her friends think I am the bomb!' she said. 'So funny!'
