Fashion is a mysterious world, with people seemingly willing to pay through their nose for some hideous attire. But one of the world's most coveted fashion labels has faced a backlash from shoppers who were definitely not impressed with the price of their clothes.
People were outraged when they spotted a plain white t-shirt listed on French clothing site, Farfetch, for an incredible £270. If white isn't your colour though, the t-shirt is also available in red, navy, and light blue. And they wasted no time in venting their frustration over the cost of the '100 per cent cotton' t-shirt, with people commenting on in a Facebook group over the high-end price tag. One person wrote: "Scum. Just wrong in every way. Do I sound bitter? Damn right hhhh."Another said: "Filth. Anyone who buys this might wish to buy a suitable applicator to insert t-shirt into the same crevice where their personality resides. Just sayin'.
While someone else added: "Bought by people who know the price of everything but the value of nothing."The description of the logo piqué T-shirt, says: "Founded in 1913 by Mario Prada, the brand is known for producing timeless items with traditional Milanese craftsmanship. This white logo piqué T-shirt is crafted from cotton and features a round neck, short sleeves, a relaxed fit, a straight hem, a slim fit and a logo chest patch."It goes on: "By the nineties, the brand had added a ready-to-wear clothing collection and became a premium status symbol. Prada's collections, which grew in the early nineties to include menswear and a diffusion line, Miu Miu, are marked by clean lines and modern streamlined silhouettes."
