A little boy decided he wasn't leaving the odds of him winning a prize to luck and so he took matters into his own hands. In a scene ripped straight out of Toy Story, Ezra Ingersoll, two, climbed inside an arcade claw machine at Rotolo's Pizzeria in Fairhope, Alabama, on Monday night whilst out for a meal with his family. The arcade game has been stocked with multi-coloured 'Hoberman Sphere' toys, and it seemed the temptation was a little too strong for the wee Ezra. Stunned mum Kelsey Ingersoll, a Realtor in Alabama said: "We were at a small pizzeria eating dinner. The small arcade had a sitting area in it so that’s where we were. We went with some friends and their children and we were letting the kids play together."My daughter all of a sudden ran over and said Ezra climbed into a game. Initially, I thought oh like climbed on top of......but no. He climbed in the prize door of a large crane game.""The door was pretty large and surprisingly easy to get into. We tried to get him out but the door would only go inwards, pushing into him.""I got the restaurant employees and asked for them to get the key to the machine and let him out but they didn’t have a key.
"The closest key was 4 hours away. We immediately called police and fire department and they had to take the top of the machine off and one fireman jumped in and pulled him out."As they waited for the fire brigade, Kelsey shot a video of Ezra playing with the toys inside, seemingly unphased. The cheeky tot was not harmed in the incident, but it didn't stop mum Kelsey from going into full mum meltdown mode. She told WALA: "I was scared to death. My husband had to keep assuring me that he was ok and not in any real danger. I didn’t laugh until it was all over. It’s pretty funny now but definitely not then."
Afterwards, the cheeky youngster was seen unwinding with his prize at the family's home. Kelsey said: "I was panicked the whole time until he was in my arms again. He just has no fear."Little Ezra has become something of a celebrity since the incident, but we don't advise anyone trying this move out for themselves.
