The eye-catching work of top makeup artists has been showcased at this year's German championships in Dusseldorf. It features Game Of Thrones characters, and interpretation of Queen Elizabeth I and even a sabre-toothed version of mummy Ötzi the Iceman as part of the Ice Age-themed event.
Established professionals with at least three years' experience under their belts competed for the Make-Up Award, with their focus this year is on 'feminine power'. But there was also a chance for lesser established artists to show off their talent in the Young Make-Up Talent Award. It looked to those aged 24 and under to create suitable make-up on a theme called 'Gentle Breeze', which is displayed in the images below. The championships were held at the Messe Düsseldorf today and yesterday and there were an estimated 20,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors.
