Man Is Suing Parents for $86,000 After They Binned His Porn Collection
Annoying when your parents throw your stuff out isn't it. Clothes or stuff from your childhood are the usual suspects. But one man was left that furious when his parents threw his porn collection away that he took legal action, and is now suing them for $86,000 ($65,734) in damages. Following a divorce, the man moved back in with his parents for around 10 months in 2016. The drama unfolded when he moved out. Having relocated to Indiana, his parents had actually got his belongings delivered to his new address. But when it arrived, he noticed one big, glaring porn-shaped difference 12 boxes of films were missing. The unnamed man, from Grand Haven, Michigan, says his porn collection was worth over $29,000 (£22,160) and included rare and out-of-print films. According to federal court documents, he called police initially to report his parents for criminal damage, but, the prosecutor decided not to press charges. Because, obviously, it's ridiculous. The documents also give details of an email exchange between the distressed son and his dad."If you had a problem with my belongings, you should have stated that at the time and I would have gone elsewhere," an email from the son allegedly states."Instead, you choose to keep quiet and behave vindictively." That divorce is starting to make sense. Having admitted throwing the films away, the man's father said: "Believe it or not, one reason for why I destroyed your porn was for your own mental and emotional health... I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine."He added: "Someday, I hope you will understand."The case was again thrown out again. He's not giving up though the son has filed his $86,000 damages lawsuit this month.
