Teenage boy sells Xbox and does housework to buy his struggling single mum car.

A teenage boy sold his Xbox to help his single mum afford a car. When William Preston, 13, discovered his mum was struggling to support his two sisters and their three pet dogs he decided to do what he could to help."Mum, I got you a car," William, from Nevada, said but at first, she did not believe him. William found a local woman selling a 1999 Chevrolet Metro while scrolling through Facebook last month. He said: "It was really cheap so I asked her if I could trade it for my Xbox or earn it, and at first she said no. And after she thought about it, then she said yes."
Soon after the seller showed up at their home and drove Krystal and William to her house where the car was parked. Krystal was stunned when William said, "Mum, I got you a car."Krystal said: "I lost it, I bawled, I was just like, there's no way, and then she gave me the keys and the paperwork.""The fact that my kid did this, I'm proud but as a mum, I'm supposed to be able to take care of my kids, I'm supposed to do this, not the other way around," Krystal said. After the deed was done, Krystal posted the story on her Facebook page, where the story gained traction, even getting attention from a local radio station, 101.3 FM Biggest Little Radio. William insists he did not buy the car for the publicity."I didn't really want that to happen, I just wanted to do it, that's all," William said. A GoFundMe page set up for the family has raised more than $6,700.
