Ireland might experience a heatwave next week.

The weather this week has been pretty grim. It's been cold, wet and windy and just a bit manky.
A few weeks ago when we got a literal day of sun we thought that we were set for the summer, but then this week arrived and drowned our spirits. But next week... next week is looking fine. Met Γ‰ireann is predicting that a little heatwave will arrive with temperatures reaching up to 20 degrees, which for Ireland is pretty sweet. The weather forecaster said: "Dry and warm next week with temps in the general range 13 to 20 degrees. Wednesday / Thursday will be the warmest days with the highest temperatures occurring on the western side of the country; southeasterly breezes will keep it a little cooler near the south-Munster, Leinster and east-Ulster coast."We'll take it. For now, though, we're going to have to deal with the rain and it'll be staying around a little while longer. Tonight is pretty grim as "showery outbreaks of rain will continue over much of Ulster and parts of North Leinster. Elsewhere generally dry and clear overnight apart from an isolated shower. Cold with lows of 0 to 4 degrees, but temperatures possibly dipping just below freezing in a few isolated spots. A few mist and fog patches possible in calm conditions."
