Nike introduces in-store mannequins that actually look like real people.

Nike has introduced in-store mannequins that actually look like real people. The sporting brand has redeveloped its women's floor in London's flagship store to include plus-size and para-sport mannequins.
The move is part of Nike's recent drive to promote diversity and inclusivity across their brand."To celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of sport, space will not just celebrate local elite and grassroots athletes through visual content, but also show Nike plus size and para-sport mannequins for the first time on a retail space," they said in a statement. The London store will now offer women "an extended offering of plus-sizes." It has also placed an emphasis on women's team kits as well as custom sportswear. Nike general manager Sarah Hannah said that the move reflects the increased focus on women in sports that has only been gaining momentum over the past few weeks."With the incredible momentum in women's sport right now, the redesigned space is just another demonstration of Nike's commitment to inspiring and serving the female athlete," she said. The new mannequins have received much praise online with many commending the sportswear brand for shifting the spotlight to bodies that aren't just entirely slim.
