Model Mikaela Testa Breaks Down After Instagram Removes 'Likes' From Posts.

An Australian Instagram model has been having a real struggle since the social media platform removed the 'likes' on posts.
Instagram has taken a potentially massive decision to trial removing likes from posts in an attempt to make people feel less pressured by the amount of engagement and reaction that they get to things they share. However, whilst people will still be able to see the number of Likes on their own stuff, some people aren't happy, because - of course - to some people, Instagram is more than just a way of sharing photos of your dinner. She's an Instagrammer who has fewer than 50,000 followers but still manages to make a living out of it. Basically, likes is life for her. Since Instagram changed its plans, she's said she's seen a massive drop off in engagement on her posts. Makes sense, really. Anyway, she shared a video on her page of her crying her eyes out and lamenting Instagram's decision to mess with her profession. Oh, it's a lucrative profession, too. Mikaela claims that she makes A$1,000 (£559) for every 1,000 likes she gets.No wonders she's upset. Mikaela also took to Facebook to vent her anger. In a now-deleted post, she said: "Regardless of what you may think, Instagram is a REAL job and those in the industry have worked hard to get where they're at."It's people that aren't even in the industry that think it's a f***ing joke. It's not, it's real damage out here. I've put my blood, sweat and tears into this for it to be ripped away, it's not just me suffering too, it's every brand and business I know."Anyway, after she made her anger clear, she took a time-out from Insta and stepped back for a 'really big break' from social media. It's probably not a surprise for you to learn that her 'big break' lasted for just a day. She's back online and sharing snaps of herself once again.
