Dublin Fire Brigade issue 'safety tips' ahead of Storm Lorenzo.


The country is gearing up for a storm as Lorenzo is on the way.
A yellow and orange warning has been issued, with the whole country on alert. A status orange wind warning has been put in place for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, and Limerick. It comes into effect at 6pm on Thursday, October 3 and ends at 3am on Friday morning. Meanwhile, a status yellow wind warning and a status yellow rainfall warning are both in place for all of Ireland. They come into effect at 9am on Thursday, October 3 - the wind warning ends at 6am on Friday morning, while the rainfall warning is in place until 9am on Friday. Dublin Fire Brigade has now issued some 'safety tips' for when the storm comes along. In case there is a power cut or flooding, here is what DFB have to say;

New batteries in your torch & one in the car too
If the power goes, use LED candles. not real ones
flooding is possible, prepare now
