Global brands united on Twitter to bash Weetabix after the cereal brand suggested people replace bread with Weetabix when eating beans. Weetabix shared a photo of Heinze baked beans spread on Weetabix and wrote: "Why should bread have all the fun, when there's Weetabix? Serving up @HeinzUK Beanz on bix for breakfast with a twist. #ItHasToBeHeinz #HaveYouHadYourWeetabix".

Several brands reacted to the tweet. Each brand jokingly condemned Weetabix with words unique to their brands.
NHS UK wrote: "That tweet should come with a health warning."
Tinder UK wrote: "Trust us, this is not a Match."
"That doesn't fly with us," Virginia Atlantic wrote.
Domino's Pizza UK wrote: "Us: Pineapple on pizza is the most controversial food ever.
"Weetabix: Hold my spoon."
Nandos wrote: "You okay hun? DM's are open if you need to talk."
And KFC told Nandos: "Let’s set aside our differences to prosecute this under the Geneva Convention."
Sky TV wrote: "Let’s set aside our differences to prosecute this under the Geneva Convention."
Pretty Little Tiing wrote: "Would rather put @GorillaGlue on my hair than eat this."
