Ancient Gobeklitepe pioneer Schmidt passes away.

Professor Klaus Schmidt, a pioneer of excavations in Göbeklitepe in the eastern Turkish province of Şanlıurfa, died of a heart attack while swimming in Germany at the age of 61.
