Just a few weeks ago, this pup was alone in the world. Dumped on the streets of England with only his dog bed, Snoop the Staffordshire terrier went viral after a surveillance camera captured heartbreaking footage of him desperately chasing his owner’s car while being abandoned.
Now, people around the world are offering up their homes to the loyal pup including California-raised rapper Snoop Dogg. After seeing the sad footage of Snoop being left on the street just a few days before Christmas, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” singer was touched and immediately wanted to bring the dog home. Sharing the same name, it would be a match made in heaven.

It is heartbreaking,” Snoop Dogg said. “If he really needed a home then he has one with us… There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop.”Since Snoop’s rescue story went viral, the RSPCA, which is currently caring for the dog, has received countless inquiries from people about adopting him. Now, the rescue group is hard at work to prepare him for the big day.“We have been overwhelmed by the hundreds of supportive messages for Snoop and all the people who have offered to give him a home, including some well-known faces such as rapper Snoop Dogg,” Rachel Butler, RSPCA media manager, said. “We are so grateful to all the millions of people who have shared Snoop’s story across the world.
”The RSPCA is still investigating Snoop’s former owner, however, and will need to complete a full health and behaviour assessment before he can be adopted. This will help the group decide what type of home would be the best fit for Snoop the dog.“Snoop is such a loveable character and enjoys being around people and gets on well with other dogs,” Butler added. “He just loves getting close to people, sitting between their legs and having cuddles, and is certainly enjoying lots of love and affection from our staff."With all this popularity overnight, Snoop is clearly loving the attention he’s been getting and it’s certain whoever gets to adopt him will become his instant best friend. We’re pulling for you, Snoop Dogg. To help more dogs in need like Snoop, you can make a donation to the RSPCA.
