Dog’s owner lets him watch as his own grave is being dug – but luckily the vet made a mistake.

TV writer Franklin Hardy decided to share a story about his dog, and the time his dad got a misdiagnosis of his health which prompted him to dig a grave in his garden. As the dog watched it happen. Yes, there’s a lot to take in. Hardy took to Twitter to share the quite frankly bizarre story.“The vet told my dad on the phone (??) that his dog had to be put down and he’d come to his house and do it,” he began. There are so many questions…is this some kind of private pupper healthcare that brings vets to homes? And secondly, informing a pet owner that their precious was dying on the phone? Harsh. He continued with the macabre story: “My dad dug the dog’s grave AND LET THE DOG WATCH”.For the love of all that is good and just, why?! According to Hardy, the prospect of a grave hadn't seemed to phase the dog. Or maybe he was putting on a brave face. Luckily, the story has a happy ending…Then the vet came and checked the dog and said it was a false alarm. Oops! Dog’s fine! Everything about this is insane. The Twitter thread was hilarious.

People found the whole thing (once they learned the dog wasn't in the red) really funny. Hardy concluded: "I’m laughing so hard at all the replies to this thank you all."
