Theme Park In The Netherlands That’s ‘Better Than Disney’ To Open New Ride.

A theme park in the Netherlands that's been dubbed 'better than Disney' has announced things will be getting even more magical with the introduction of a new ride, set to open this year.
The new ride at Efteling, a fantasy-themed amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, will be the 30th new attraction in the park since it debuted in 1952. Based on a Brothers Grimm fairytale, The Six Swans, the new ride will be the latest addition to the park's Fairytale Forest - which was one of the first attractions to have opened in Efteling. When it opens in autumn 2019, it will take people through the story of six princes changed into swans by their jealous stepmother. In order to save them, their little sister has to sew six shirts from nettles and must not speak or laugh for six years. To tell the tale, the attraction will feature a large castle monument that's home to the king and a miniature bride. The new ride will come as good news to those in the know about Efteling, who have been singing its praises for some time now - with many people even saying it beats Disney theme parks.

One person recently tweeted: "I've said it once and I'll say it again, The Efteling in the Netherlands is a better theme park than Disneyland."Someone else also said: "Efteling will always be better than any Disneyland and that's a fact."Another wrote: "We found that @Eftelingin The Netherlands was far better than Euro Disney... Plenty to do and amazing accommodation."A fourth added: "I've been going to Efteling since I was a child. Love it there. I think it might even be better than Disney."

Someone has even said it's better than any 'other European theme parks', which just shows what we're up against. According to its website, Efteling started life in 1933 as a sports park, before expanding over the years to incorporate attractions like a steam carousel, a high slide and a cableway. It wasn't until 1952 that the real magic came, with the grand opening of the park's Fairytale Forest - which focused on the 10 fairytales of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Frog Prince, The Magic Clock, The Chinese Nightingale, The Talking Parrot, Long Neck, The Gnome Houses, Mother Holle and Wee Walter Messenger. During the years that followed, the park grew even more with a café-restaurant, a swimming pool, a lake for rowing and canoeing, and further additions to the Fairytale Forest. Given that Disneyland is known as 'the happiest place on Earth', can Efteling really be better? Guess there's only one way to find out...
