Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday commissioned a Chinese-built hydropower dam which is expected to boost Uganda’s electricity generation capacity. The 183MW Isimba Dam now brings the East African country’s national electricity generation to 1,167MW from the current 984MW.

MEPs have voted to scrap the practice of moving clocks forward by an hour in spring then back again in the autumn. From April 2021, member states will have a choice with regards to the time system they'll adapt. Essentially, the proposal states that these time changes should be abolished in 2021 and it is up to the member states to choose between winter or summer time zones they can keep the current summertime system or scrap the twice-yearly clock changes.

A man was circumcised in a hospital in the UK after he was mistaken for another patient. He was supposed to be having a bladder inspection. The incident happened last September at the University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust, and it is believed that his notes were mixed up with someone else's.
