Baby tragically dies after being left unsupervised with charging phone

Baby Dies After Being Left Unattended With Charging Phone
A couple has been left distraught and heartbroken after their baby girl was electrocuted while playing with a smartphone that was plugged in for charging. The distressing incident occurred in the western Kazakh city of Aktau after the girl's tired mother fell asleep next to her as she played with the phone. The mum, who has not been named, woke up and was instantly suspicious that her little girl was so quiet. It only took seconds for her to realise that her little one was not breathing and had no pulse. She frantically wrapped her up in a blanket and rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late. There was nothing doctors could do for the girl as she was already dead. The tragic incident attracted global attention when a member of the nursing staff at the hospital took a photo of the horrific burns on the tiny baby's body and later posted it online. The image above shows the young girl's scarred hand being limply held in an adult's palm, with traces of burns caused by the electrical shock clearly visible on her small body. It's a horrific reminder of the dangers mobile phones can present for small children, and the photo was posted to social media with the warning: "Do not leave your babies unattended with chargers."According to a family friend, who will also not be named, "The girl started playing with the charging cable. She put it in her mouth and started chewing it."It is believed that by chewing on the cable the baby caused the wires to become exposed which led to the horrific electric shock. Doctors confirmed the child had died from electrocution with burn marks clearly visible on her hand and arm.
