A heavily tattooed man who reportedly had his genitals removed has shared snaps of himself on Instagram. Adam Curlykale, from Kaliningrad, Russia, first started getting tattoos 12 years ago in a bid to cover up skin blemishes caused by cancer treatment. Eventually, more than 90 per cent of the 32-year-old's body was inked - including his eyeballs. Ultimately, this was not enough for Curlykale, who felt his nipples and genitals spoiled his body art and decided to have them lopped off. He has now shared a picture of himself. Captioning the picture, he said: "I'm not afraid of people!"Curlykale first came to everyone's attention in 2017 when he appeared on the Polish TVshow, Second Face, where he explained what it meant to be 'null'.He said: "I belong to a type of people called 'null' which means that I'm an agamic person, but asexual doesn't mean that I don't have a drive."People from the 'null' community don't want to have body parts like nipples, a belly button or genitals which determine if you're a man or a woman."Last year, he acted on this desire to be nippleless/gibletsless, with local media reporting that he had to travel to Jardines Hospital in Guadalajara in Mexico to have the removal surgery.
He said: "I always knew that I was different from the rest of society. My favourite colour, for example, has always been grey, in different tones, and that's why my current skin colour is graphite."I would say the fact you've chosen to have all your skin tattooed is what makes you different from the rest of society, Adam, rather than the fact your favourite colour is grey.

Surveillance footage captured the moment a woman, driving a white Jeep, came out of her car with a plastic bag, opened a bin and looked inside before moving on and tossing her bag next to a bin that was overflowing with trash. The bag contained seven terrier mix puppies that were just three days old, according to investors with the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. The puppies were found by a man called John, who heard their cries when he was looking through the trash and took them to a nearby auto shop. John Welsh, a spokesperson for animal services, told Washington Post that the puppies were dumped in a sealed plastic bag - and had they not been found as soon as they had, they would have died. "He just happened to be in the right spot at the right time," Welsh said. The head of animal services, Chris Mayer added: “There is no excuse for dumping puppies".This was a shameful act. Talking about the discovery, John told a local television station that when he found them, they were panting and in pain. “I was kind of in shock to see the way that she threw it,” he said. Carelessly, without emotion, like it was just a regular old bag of trash. They were later taken to a rescue centre, where they are being bottle fed.

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka—The death toll from the Easter suicide bombings in Sri Lanka rose to 359, police said Wednesday, as the country’s leaders vowed to overhaul the security apparatus amid a series of intelligence lapses before the attacks.U.S. Ambassador Alaina Teplitz, meanwhile, told reporters that “clearly there was some failure in the system.” Sri Lanka’s leaders have said some of the country’s security units were aware before Easter of possible attacks but did not share those warnings widely. Teplitz said the U.S. had “no prior knowledge” of a threat before the bombings. She said a team of FBI agents and U.S. military officials were helping in the investigation. The ISIS terrorist group has claimed responsibility and released images that purported to show the seven bombers who blew themselves up at three churches and three hotels Sunday in the worst violence this South Asian island nation has seen since its civil war ended a decade ago. The government has said the attacks were carried out by ISIS in apparent retaliation for last months’ New Zealand mosque massacre but has said the seven bombers were all Sri Lankan. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said investigators were still working to determine the extent of the bombers’ foreign links. Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said Wednesday morning that 18 additional suspects were arrested overnight, raising the total detained to 58.ISIS has lost all the territory it once held in Iraq and Syria and has made a series of unsupported claims of responsibility around the world.
Sri Lankan authorities have blamed a local extremist group, National Towheed Jamaar, whose leader, alternately known as Mohammed Zahran or Zahran Hashmi, became known to Muslim leaders three years ago for his incendiary speeches online. Teplitz declined to discuss whether the embassy or U.S. officials had heard of National Towheed Jamaar or its leader prior to the attack. “If we had heard something, we would have tried to do something about this,” Teplitz said. The ISIS group’s Aamaq news agency released an image purported to show the leader of the attackers, standing amid seven others whose faces are covered. The group did not provide any other evidence for its claim, and the identities of those depicted in the image were not independently verified.
Meanwhile, in an address to Parliament, Ruwan Wijewardene, the state minister of defence, said “weakness” within Sri Lanka’s security apparatus led to the failure to prevent the nine bombings.“By now it has been established that the intelligence units were aware of this attack and a group of responsible people were informed about the impending attack,” Wijewardene said. “However, this information has been circulated among only a few officials.”In a live address to the nation late Tuesday, Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena said he also was kept in the dark on the intelligence about the planned attacks and vowed to “take stern action” against the officials who failed to share the information. He also pledged “a complete restructuring” of the security forces. Wijewardene said the government had evidence that the bombings were carried out “by an ISIS fundamentalist group” in retaliation for the March 15 mosque shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand, that killed 50 people, although he did not disclose the evidence

Anti-Muslim bigotry fed by Buddhist nationalists has swept the country recently but Sri Lanka has no history of terrorism. Its small Christian community has seen only scattered incidents of harassment.

A mischievous jackdaw who had been dropping sticks down a chimney “for weeks” was apprehended after falling into the house. The bird was rescued by Emma Lambert, from Nottingham, and her father after birds had attempted to build nests in the chimney breast.
